ITEMS FROM HOME POLICY POST COVID19

The well-being, safety and security of all the children in the setting is our main concern. In light of the current COVID19 pandemic we have had to revise the thinking around children bringing toys from home into the setting at the current time.

We understand that a child may have an emotional attachment to a personal belonging from home, such as a toy or blanket and accept that this item may be crucial to a child’s feeling of emotional wellbeing and sense of belonging while at Pre-School. However, in light of the COVID19 Pandemic and the risk of cross-contamination it would be preferred that any fabric comforters are left at home.

However, if you feel your child cannot possibly be separated from their item of comfort could you please ensure that is it freshly laundered daily. Within setting, if your child puts their comforter down, once it is out of a child’s sight and mind it will be put into their personal bags ready for home time.

With regard to bringing toys in from home to play with, at the current time this will not be permitted.
